In Memory of Brian Prangnell OAM
Cornerstone of The Boys’ Brigade Western Australia
We honor the life and service of Brian Charles Prangnell OAM, a foundational figure of The Boys’ Brigade Western Australia and a devoted member of Woodvale Baptist Church alongside his wife, Barbara.
Guard of Honour
In recognition of Brian’s monumental contribution to our movement, The Boys’ Brigade WA will be forming a Guard of Honour at the service. We strongly encourage attendance from all current and former members—including Officers and Boys—to help us pay tribute to a leader who dedicated his life to the Brigade.

A Legacy of Service
Brian’s impact on The Boys’ Brigade spanned over 70 years, during which he served with distinction as State President, State Secretary, and Executive Officer. Beyond his executive leadership, he was a Company Captain and Chaplain who shaped the character and faith of generations of young men across Western Australia. His lifetime of dedication to youth and the community was officially recognized in 2011 when he was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM). Brian’s life was a testament to the values of the Brigade, and he will be remembered as a mentor and friend to many.
