Senior Service Awards

Anchors Section Service
Awarded to a Boy who has maintained membership in BB from Anchors through Juniors Section to Seniors Section. The colour of the award corresponds to the colour of the highest level earnt in Anchors.

Juniors Section Service
Awarded to a Boy who has maintained membership in Juniors Section and transferred into Seniors Section. The colour of the award corresponds to the colour of the highest Achievement Badge gained. If no Achievement Badge was gained the colour awarded is Yellow.

One Year Service – Bronze & Silver
There are two levels, either the Silver award or the Bronze award. Only one level can be earned in any one session.

The Bronze One Year Service Badge – For attendance over 90% (min of 25 nights) of Company Parade nights.

Silver One Year Service Badge – There must be a minimum of 90% possible attendance at all Company Parade Nights (minimum of 25 nights) and at least an equivalent number of attendances at some form of voluntary Christian instruction other than a class held on the weekly parade night that is Church, Company Bible Class (where held on another day), Sunday school etc., however RE classes at school is not acceptable.
A Boy requires a minimum of 3 Silver One Year Service Awards to qualify for The Queen’s Badge.

Good conduct is required for both awards. When considering your eligibility for either of these awards, your Captain is allowed to make allowance for absences due to sickness or other event which prevents your attendance. Of course you should make sure that you notify him of the reasons for your absence, preferably before the Parade Night if you can.

Long Service Award
Awarded to a Boy at one of three levels after he has been in Seniors Section for at least four and a half sessions. It may be awarded to you after 1 June in your fifth session.
You do not need to have earned any One Year Service awards to gain this award. However, you should have had good conduct throughout that time.
The badge is for membership in Seniors Section only, Level 2 if you had been in Juniors section and transferred into Seniors Section, Level 3 if you had maintained your membership from the Anchors Section right through to entering Seniors Section.
